The course explores key aspects of data-driven Smart Cities, focusing on both operational management and urban planning. It aims to address challenges such as monitoring, early warning, traffic decongestion, decarbonization, improved accessibility, and the mitigation of critical conditions. Topics will also include what-if analysis and decision support systems. Participants will gain a comprehensive overview of the opportunities and capabilities enabled by data-centric approaches to urban management.

To understand the aspects of data driven Smart City for operation and plan management. The aim is monitoring, early warning, but also degongestion, decarbonization, accessibility, reduction of critical conditions, what-if analysis, and decision support systems. The course will provide an overview of the possiblities.

Programma formativo e prerequisiti per partecipare

Main topics covered in the course

Overview for users, developers and researchers, including some hints on

dashboard production, from simple to business intelligence tools
process logic, server side business logic, node-red, ETL/ELT (JavaScript). Server Side Business Logic
data analytics, usage of AI, XAI, clustering, Deep Learning, for predictions, early warning, optimization (Python when needed to add new features). usage of solutions and possibilities
data ingestion and interoperability (Node-RED), smart data model, data spaces
platform architecture, modularity, scalability, reporting, etc
development life cycle methodology and guideline, client side business logic for business intelligence tools.
